Red/Blue Walkthrough
Welcome to the beginning of it all! Pokemon Red and Blue represents the first TV series of pokemon. This walkthrough takes you step by step of the game. (This walkthrough was made without help from the internet but with interaction with the game.)
There's three pokemon to choose from. Choose carefully. It's your life companion.
There is Charmander, the fire lizard.
There is Squirtle, the water turtle.
There is Bulbasaur, the grass seed.
On my recommendation, choose Bulbasaur. You can get a Flareon later in the game.
After you pick your Pokemon, you start to walk out the door but Gary stops you for a battle. Battle well. Your greatest weapon is tail whip or growl. They weaken the enemy and if the enemy just attacks, you have a better chance of winning. If you win, your newly earned Pokemon will be level 6. If you lose, nothing changes. Leave Oak's lab then head to the grass again.
Pallet Town
First, you start off with Prof. Oak talking to you about the world of Pokemon. After the introduction, you will wake up by your bed. Head downstairs and head out the door. Walk to the right and go up to grass. Oak will run up to you telling it's too dangerous for you to go in the grass. He will take you to his lab where Gary(we'll call your rival, Gary) is waiting. Gary and Oak has some chat then Oak lets you pick your first Pokemon. HOORAH! There's three pokemon to choose from. Choose carefully. It's your life companion.

Route 1
This is a short grass area between Pallet Town and Viridian City. Keep going foward, maybe strengthen your new pokemon. You will meet a man from the pokemart who will give you a free potion.
Pokemon:
Pidgey: lvl 2-4
Rattata: lvl 2-4
Viridian City
Welcome! First, go heal your pokemon. Right now, there's nobody to talk to. Go to the Pokemart where the cashier will give you Oak's Parcel. Head down to Route 1.
Pallet Town
Head to Oak's lab. Chat with him then give him the parcel. It's the custom pokeball! Then Gary shows ups bragging about his pokemon. Oak asks the both of you a favor; complete the pokedex. You will recieve the pokedex. Then Gary tells you he's going to go get a town map from his sister. Let's go to Gary's house and get a town map. Once you recieve the map, head to route 1 to strengthen your pokemon to about lvl 10 for the battle up ahead.
Viridian City
Heal your pokemon then go to the pokemart and get some pokeballs. You might want to check out Route 1 for a pidgey before you go to Route 22. You also could go up to Route 2 but let's go to Route 22.
Route 22
Here you can find lots of Pokemon. You can get six pokemon if catch them all. Train and catch pokemon here. But after the first patch of grass is a battle from Gary. Make sure you have at least two lvl 9 pokemon before battling him. After Gary is the Pokemon League, but you won't be able to enter for a long time from now.
Pokemon:
Rattata: lvl 2-5
Nidoran(girl and boy): lvl 2-5
Spearow: lvl 2-5
Viridian City
